🧹 Spring Cleaning Reminders

Now that spring is finally settling in, it’s time to start thinking about community-wide spring cleaning. We’d like to help everyone do their part to keep Gladstone looking good, staying safe, and remaining a place we’re proud to call home, so as you get started on yard work and outdoor projects, here are a few things to keep in mind:

🌿Yard & Property Care

  • Keep grass clippings out of the street — they lead to clogged storm drains and fuel algae growth when washed into the lagoon system.

  • Trim trees and shrubs that hang over streets, alleys, or sidewalks.

  • Keep ditches and culverts clear for proper drainage.

  • Control noxious weeds and maintain lawns.

  • Store unused items neatly to reduce clutter and discourage rodents.

  • Keep pets contained and clean up after them.

🚮Garbage Containers & Litter

  • Secure garbage containers so they don’t tip, blow away, or scatter debris.

  • Do not place containers on the street, the truck can reach them on the boulevard.

  • Retrieve containers promptly after trash collection.

  • Do not place yard waste in alleys or streets.

🚸Safety & Courtesy

  • Drive slowly—kids are out biking, walking, and playing.

  • Watch for pedestrians near parks, mailboxes, and walking along the street.

  • Be mindful of noise early in the morning and late in the evening.
