A reminder to all Gladstone residents: In the event of severe weather, St. Thomas Church (351 Cliff Street) serves as the City’s designated emergency shelter. If you need a safe place during a storm, you’re welcome to shelter there until conditions improve. A member of the Gladstone Fire Department will be onsite to assist and guide residents as needed.
Should you shelter in place or head to the emergency shelter? Stay where you are only if your current location is secure—such as a well-built structure, away from windows. If you’re in a mobile home, vehicle, or exposed area, please utilize the emergency shelter for your safety.
